Wandering Missy is my nickname from awhile back - add in Keith and that's where the name originated. Here you will find travel photography tips, lots of photos and a hint of our flaneuring life in Paris.

Hi, we are wandering mr and missy

For the past, I can’t remember how many years, my daughter has asked to have photo booth pictures taken for her birthday. But the last 2 she has singled out the Vintage Analog Photobooths that FotoAutomat operates, a handful of which are here in Paris.

They are magical.

As photographers, we really appreciate that the photo and print are the real deal, analog. They are such a wonderful keepsake. And it was our daughter that put these photo booths on our radar. So if you find yourself in Paris, seek out one of these sweet photo booths! The photo quality is outstanding!

If you want to know where to find one of these analog photo booths in Paris, here’s your list

Here’s an excerpt taken from FotoAutomat’s website:

There are less than fifty working analog photo booths remaining in the world now.

Since 2007, FotoAutomat has been working to preserve this photographic heritage by restoring and maintaining the last original analog photobooths in France and Czech, mainly in spaces dedicated to Art and culture. Each of our photobooths is unique, redesigned and rebuild in our workshop or restored to its original style’.

But then I remembered that I had seen at least two of these analog photo booths in Italy as well, both in Florence. I found photos of one of them from a trip to Firenze last June, and maybe I took Iphone photos of the other, I have to find those photos because I remember the crowd of younger somethings gathering around, forming a queue put a smile on my face.

They are called FOTOAUTOMATICA and they are located in a handful of locations around Firenze, and there is always a line! Love that the next generation appreciates the nostalgia of an actual photo!

Via dell’Agnolo  |  Via del Proconsolo  |  Piazza Stazione  |  Largo Fratelli Alinari  |  Via Santa Monaca  |  The Student Hotel

And this year we jumped in for a few as well. (PS last year I remember at the same location at Le Citadium Haussmann, Gabby received a strip and it took a little longer to develop, so I wonder if they have made some changes to some of their machines, not sure. But the experience is fun!)

So next time in Paris or Florence, say cheese!
